Born and raised in the south of Spain to Belgian parents, he developed a passion for design and architecture from an early age.
He studied at Ravensbourne College of Art and Design in London and, after graduation, joined Swaine Adeney Brigg, a renowned leather goods company. Here, he designed their flagship store, luggage for Jaguar, a briefcase lock for Rolls Royce, and collaborated with other companies like Christie’s and Asprey.
Later, he returned to Spain to work for Bang & Olufsen, offering high-end interior architecture and custom furniture design. His work gained recognition, leading to exclusive projects across Europe where he met his future wife, a native New Yorker.
Subsequently, he moved to New York, where he served as the senior designer for California Closets for 16 years. Alongside this, he pursued his passion for flipping properties with his wife, a Real Estate Broker.
Both relocated to Malaga, where Ian has shared his expertise in the industry since 2017.
